Links of the Week
Sorry no review yesterday... sad to say there was nothing to recap. Next week, I promise.
Some music related links and YouTubes for your Thursday:
- More Halloween redux... fantastic freakin' costume from Ferdman.
- Panic played Enter the Sandman on Halloween... just for fun.
- Do you miss Rana like I do? Matt surfaces with some new music in LA.
- By request, here's the rest of the Duo Tap Bar set featured in last week's minimix if you're interested.
- More cool music. Old college mate of mine likes da funky tunes. His band opened for Garaj Mahal recently and there's some top shelf video of Fareed Haque coming out to jam w/ them. Cool beans.
- If this hasn't come your way yet, YouTube of the week: best Star Wars cover ever.
- Maybe this one is a little better... old school Stevie Wonder tearing it up on the drums. Is there anyone better than Stevie? Ever?
- Not quite as good as Wonder, but still pretty good is Page McConnell. Be sure to check 'em all out.
- Two great tastes that go together: bluegrass and bourbon. Throw in some BBQ and you have yourself a threesome. (this weekend's cook = smoked meatloaf, no pix, just this recap: mmmmmmmm)
- Finally, I would never willingly make you watch Dane Cook, but Joe C in the comments points out the fact that the comedy act described in a recent episode of Nedstalgia actually featured renowned douche bag Dane Cook and he described the incident in an appearance on Letterman. [ed. note: sick run on sentence, dude!]. Check it out, right at the beginning of this... pretty much just as I remembered it.
- new mix tomorrow and lots of Nedstalgia coming up this month...
