ned,
i've been meaning to drop you a line since i first stumbled across your 'nedstalgia' posts a few days ago.
while i can't indulge myself at the moment (cubicles on every side! all around me! ha!), i'll holler again when i get home and get my machine back from the apple shop.
needless to say, it's very nice to find a kindred spirit who is also struggling to articulate (and doing it very well, i might add) what exactly was happening on those cold nights 10 or 15 years ago in those strange rooms and music halls.
i'm still trying to trace a narrative of avant pop music from those 4 nerds through the likes of the fiery furnaces, the forms, animal collective, etc...
before i get too far ahead of myself, drop by my site sometime:

nice job on the grouping of new york shows. super furry animals twice in two months, wtf! i'm gonna have to drive to detroit just to see/hear them. and why is ghostface doing his own thing WITH the wu-tang? they should open for HIM!
best
kev
